Aedin Moloney, actress & producing artistic director of Fallen Angel Theatre Company

AEDIN MOLONEY – Producer/Artistic Director

Aedín has called New York City home for 22 years.  She is founder and producing artistic director of Fallen Angel Theatre Company.  Aedin has been the Producer of 5  New York shows for Fallen Angel, including When I was a Girl I used to Scream and Shout, Eva the Chaste, Cell, Talent  and Airswimming (a co-pro with the Irish Rep), 

She is also an award winning actress. She recently released a double album, Reflections of Molly Bloom featuring her unique interpretation and performance of Molly Bloom's soliloquy from Ulysses by James Joyce. The album also features music by Paddy Moloney (The Chieftains).  Available on Itunes.

Recent theatre roles include Molly Ivors from the acclaimed NYC production of The Dead 1904, Women without Men for the Mint Theatre & When I was a Girl I used to Scream and Shout for Fallen Angel. 

Aedín originated the role of George Eliot in the world premiere of  A Most Dangerous Woman by Cathy Tempelsman, directed by tony winner, Richard Maltby and the role of  Dol in The Alchemist, adapted and directed by Bonnie Monte, both at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey.

Recent TV roles include Mum in FoxTV's The Exorcist & Mary Michael in Steven Soderbergh's The Knick. 

Recent audio work includes the NY Times 2017 Best Seller, Jackies Girl and Lyria in IronGold from award winning author Pierce Brown.

Other NYC Theatre credits include:  Hobsons Choice at the Atlantic Theatre, directed by David Warren,  and 9 hit productions with the Irish Repertory Theatre including:  Dancing at Lughnasa, Shadow of a Gunman, Playboy of the Western World, Eclipsed, Juno & the Paycock, Same Old Moon & Pigtown.  Her work with the Irish Arts Center includes: Bar & Ger  & Celtic Tiger Me Arse.  Regional theatre includes Under Milk Wood  directed by Mark Lamos at The Hartford Stage.

Aedín's film credits include: Nora, playing James Joyce’s sister, Eva (also starring Ewan McGregor), Far & Away (directed by Ron Howard), The Captives, Agnes Brown (directed by Angelica Houston) and Diary of a Madman. 

Aedin has worked extensively with the BBC, ITV (UK) & Channel Four (UK). Other TV Work in Great Britain and New York include: Ballykissangel, The Moth, The Bill & Vanity Fair, Law and Order (Criminal Intent)

Other audio work includes:  Ironwill written and developed by Arthur Yorinks and directed by Jim Simpson and Dubliners: A Quartet for WNYC Greenspace.  

Aedín is a graduate of the Samuel Beckett Theatre Centre, Trinity College Dublin.

JOHN KEATING  - Director in Residence

John Keating is very proud to have directed five shows for Fallen Angel Theatre and to be a part of the Company. He is a prominent New York stage actor who performs regularly with both Theatre For A New Audience (TFANA) and The Irish Repertory Theatre, amongst many others. Originally from Tipperary in Ireland, John has called New York home for many years. His 5 shows at TFANA include most recently, Sir Trevor Nunn’s Pericles (in addition to Measure for Measure, Taming of the Shrew, Much Ado About Nothing and Broken Heart). As a core Company Member, his 17 shows at Irish Rep include the recent world premieres of Rebel In The Soul and The Pigeon in The Taj Mahal, The Weir (Lortel Nom.), Da, Juno and the Paycock, and Aristocrats. Extensive additional New York credits include Atlantic Theatre  (The New York Idea), Pearl Theatre (Public Enemy), Mint (Is Life Worth Living, John Ferguson), Roundabout (Juno and the Paycock), Irish Arts (the site specific Ladies and Gents, 4 other shows), Mabou Mines, Talking Band, La Mama. Most leading regional theatres, including McCarter, A.C.T, Old Globe, Hartford Stage, Westport Playhouse, Wilma (Barrymore nomination as Best Actor).

Ruth Kavanagh, actress & associate producer of Fallen Angel Theatre Company

RUTH KAVANAGH - Associate Producer

Ruth trained at Arts Educational Drama School, London, holds an MA in Contemporary Theatre Practice from the University of Essex, UK and a BA in International Marketing, German and French from DCU, Dublin. She is a member of Fallen Angel Theatre Co in NY and most recently was Production Manager for their off-Broadway production of Eva The Chaste in July 2011. She is co-founder of Kassiopia Theatre Company.  Previous Kassiopia credits: One Last White Horse, The Marlboro Man, Lovers-Winners. NYC credits include: Nights of Wrath, Nora’s Bloke, Blood Wedding; UK credits include: The Maids, Yerma, The Women, Tingeltangel—a Weimar Cabaret, Steel Magnolias. Ruth is also a voice-over artist. She has taught drama and dance workshops and classes in NYC, London, Ireland and Italy.  She currently teaches megaformer classes at SLT and barre fitness classes at Pier 60 Barre, Chelsea Piers and JC Barre. Member AEA, SAG-AFTRA.

GINA COSTIGAN - Assistant Producer

Gina is exceptionally excited to be taken on as Assistant Producer with the wonderful Fallen Angel Theatre Company, a company she has admired for years. She has previously produced a sell out run of The Countess and the Lesbians (Dublin Gay Theatre Festival) and the three part web series Coming to Colin, which was selected for screening at the ISA Film Festival. 

As an actress Gina has performed Off Broadway and regionally in the US and has toured numerously throughout Ireland and the UK, she has also worked extensively in film and TV both sides of the pond. Her training includes an AOS (Dist) in Film and Television Perfomance (NYCDA) and a BA (Hons) in Drama (Queen's University Belfast).
